Our Work Together

I offer a person-centered, collaborative approach to therapy, where your goals guide our work together.

Some types of therapy I typically use during our sessions:

  • Narrative Therapy-In which we work on separating yourself from your problems. You will have the opportunity to tell your story and take a look at the circumstances that brought you here. I will provide support as you examine your life, help you draw on your strengths, and imagine how you would like your life to be going forward.

  • Mindfulness -This is a word that means a lot of different things to different people. For our work together, mindfulness just means learning to notice your state of being at any given time. By simply noticing how you feel regularly, you will develop the ability to gain control of your emotions, pause before you react, and live more fully in the present moment.

  • Attachment Theory-Understanding how early connections have shaped the way you relate to others.

  • Internal Family Systems-Embracing all parts of you with kindness and acceptance. We will examine how protective instincts have served you in the past and how to integrate all of your challenges and strengths to help you feel more whole.
